Bid writing - March 2013
Naz Hussein - Business Manager, Leicestershire Social Care Development Group
Thank you for your professionalism in accepting this work with a very short lead time. You have really done a fantastic job in pulling together the bid and putting up with my queries! You met the deadline and showed outstanding skills and passion in completing a task that seemed like a mountain of a job. Without your support, guidance and the contribution from you and all the rest who have been involved I cannot imagine we would have got this far with literally the few days we had.
Training feedback - The Confederation of Indian Organisations.
Recruitment and retention of volunteers -
Thanks for putting things into perspective, this was very informative and useful. It was a very good programme, I enjoyed it very much. This session was really informative and I have learned a lot.

Sue recommended many contacts who would also be able to assist and back the bid, not least making sure that at the initial stages enabled Engage to get access to the right people in order for the opportunity to make the bid become avaialble. I am pleased to confirm that the bid has been successful and that plans to develop the project will now be going ahead. We are especially pleased that this has further enabled better partnership working which will have a positive impact on local people, the community and the economy. Thanks so much Sue for your support.

We were introduced to Sue Grogan as part of the LCB Depot's Creative Enterprise Hub ERDF funding to provide Consultancy Support to creative SME's. One of our current marketing initiatives is to gain more public sector exposure and ultimately project commissions. After tendering for the work Sue was appointed as our consultant. She has been a revelation, opening up the world of the public sector to us, highlighting its many pitfalls and possibilities. Her support has well exceeded her brief due to her enthusiasm for our business and the subject with many potential opportunities identified and explored. Our main outcome, a printed and digital leaflet for distribution to council officers, was achieved with comprehensive input from Sue. The leaflet campaign is supported by a strategy outlined by Sue and then jointly honed. We would not have achieved half of our expectations without Sue's input.

Testimonial - Ray Flude, Leicestershire & Leicester City Learning Partnership Manager
Sue has earned respect, trust, credibility from the Learning Partnership partners, a reputation for impartiality and a track record for fostering successful collaborative projects. As well as working with our FE and LA partners she has worked with a considerable number of community groups of all kinds with similar success.
Among her considerable skills are effective planning, coordination, collaboration and excellent inter-personal skills and leadership. All this coupled with an ability to see the bigger strategy picture but without losing the attention to detail necessary to follow long sequences of project development, with partners, through to completion.
Sue has made an invaluable contribution to the work of the Partnership and she has played a highly significant role in the collaborative environment of Leicestershire.

New Leaf Family Services
New Leaf Family Services has been running only six months. I would say paperwork and answering questions for local authority isn't my strength but knowing my business is. When getting the tender document it was ninety pages and this certainly sent me into a whirl wind speed with the language it is written in and just the amount which is required to plough through. Sue was able to give me guidance, knowledge and "bite sized" information to digest what expected of me in this tender.
Sue was efficient, maintain deadlines with enough time to spare to make additional changes. The process for me as a business owner became "painless" and really the total service which Sue offers is real "value for money". I would certainly recommend her to others so don't be put off by the large amounts of tender documents. Call Sue as she really help me and teached me to understand.
Leena Mistry - Director of New Leaf Family Services

"I worked with Sue for a number of years and can testify to her excellent organisational skills. She has a fine ability to see the bigger picture and a clear understanding of the roles of different organisations, which allows her to effectively coordinate their working together to ensure best outcomes" - Gwynneth Allen, Advanced Skills Teacher
